Delivery and Returns

We want you to receive your goods as quickly as possible. To do this we use a combination of Royal Mail and various courier services. Delivery charges depend on how quickly you require your goods and whether delivery is to the Highlands/Islands.

Delivery Timescales

To give you an idea of how long your goods will take to arrive, see below. We understand that some customers require delivery quickly whilst others might not. We have therefore given you various options to choose from. The following timescales for orders under £5, Standard and Quick delivery options are guidelines only. If you need your goods by a particular date, we recommend choosing Express, Super Express or Saturday Express.

Delivery Method Timescale
Orders under £5 Delivery is just £1.96 when you spend less than £5. Dispatched via Royal Mail, allow a week or so for delivery (but might be with you sooner). Delivery date not guaranteed.
Standard Suits those who like to plan well in advance. Allow a week or more for delivery (but might be with you sooner). Delivery date not guaranteed.
Quick (2-3 days) Suitable if you want your items quickly but not urgently (i.e. you have a few days to play with). Delivery date not guaranteed.
Express (next day)

Need your items tomorrow? This is the option for you!

Order before 3.00pm for delivery next working day (Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays). Better still, receive a text and/or email telling you exactly when to expect your delivery right down to the hour!*

Super Express (Next day before 1pm)

Suitable if your party is tomorrow and you need to start setting up early! Order before 3.00pm for next working day delivery

(Working day is Monday to Friday, excludes Bank Holidays). And the best bit... you will receive a text and/or email notification giving you an hour slot in which to expect your delivery!*

Saturday Express (Saturday before 6pm) Suitable if you need your goods on Saturday. Order any time during the week up to 3.00pm on Friday. The best bit…you will receive a text and/or email notification giving you an hour slot of when to expect your delivery. *
Click and Collect Not sure when you will be in to receive your order? Order online and then pop into our warehouse in Totton, Southampton (4 minutes from J2 of the M27) to collect. We are open Mon – Fri, 9.00 - 5.30. When you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirming what time your order will be ready.*

 

* Occasionally, during busy periods, the couriers may not be able to provide the 1 hour delivery slot information.

Timed Deliveries

No need to stay in all day waiting for your delivery!

Choose one of our Express delivery options and you will receive an email and/or text direct from the courier on the day of delivery, notifying you of a one hour slot that your delivery driver will be with you!* You will even get your driver's name!

If the delivery time isn’t convenient, you will have the option to change the delivery to another day by email or text or request the parcel is left with a neighbour.

*Sometimes Royal Mail Special Delivery or alternative couriers will be used, in which case this service will not be available. Does not apply to hired helium cylinder delivery. Occasionally, during busy periods, the couriers may not be able to provide the 1 hour delivery slot information.

Hired Helium Cylinder Delivery

Hired helium cylinders are delivered by third party gas agents nationwide. We suggest taking delivery of your cylinder, a minimum of 2 working days (Mon - Fri) prior to your event to allow enough time to sort out any problems with the delivery agent should they occur. Should you need the cylinder within a couple of days of your event, we can usually do it - we just like to play it safe! If you only have enough time to order a helium cylinder to be delivered the day before your event or the day of your event, please ensure that if it has not been delivered by 2.00pm you call us to allow some time for us to chase it up with the agent. If you do not let us know by 2.00pm we may not be able to get your helium to you in time for your event. We are not able to offer a guaranteed next day delivery on hired helium cylinders as we do not dispatch them from our premises, however if you do want them the next day, please call us and we will do our best to sort something out for you.

Limitations

We do our best to deliver the goods to the correct address, however, we cannot be held responsible for incorrect or incomplete information. If goods are delayed due to this information being incorrect or incomplete, refunds will not be offered. Please ensure you supply us with a correct and complete delivery address including postcode.

Once delivered to the given address, the package is no longer the responsibility of Signature Balloons and Parties. If the goods are accepted or signed for by someone other than the recipient but not passed on, we cannot take responsibility for this nor offer any refund.

If you choose a one of our Express delivery options and your order is not delivered, or an attempted delivery is not made by the date specified, we will offer a full refund of your delivery charge in the UK. Exceptions to this rule include, but are not limited to, your delivery being delayed by terrorist activity, adverse weather conditions, industrial action, incorrectly supplied address details, strikes, blockades, natural disasters industrial accidents and road accidents. If you have received free delivery already, no refund of delivery charge can be made.

Due to different customs processes in other countries, unfortunately we are not able to offer any guaranteed date of delivery for overseas orders and therefore are unable to offer a refund for late deliveries. The number of days given for overseas orders are a guideline only.

1. Will I need to be in to receive my delivery?

Most orders will require a signature with the exception of lighter, smaller items sent by Royal Mail. If you think you may not be in, please add a note on your order to leave with neighbour / leave around the back etc. However, if the driver feels it is not safe or advisable to leave the goods where suggested, they will take them back to the depot.

2. What will happen if I'm not in to receive my delivery?

If you are not in, your order will be returned to the local delivery office or courier depot dependent on the service used. You will be able to collect the item or arrange for delivery another time. A card should be left stating that an attempted delivery was made and if you have chosen one of the courier options you should receive a text or email (provided you have supplied the necessary information) . If you have not received your order on the day you expect it and no card is left, please contact us as soon as possible so we can follow up with carrier.

3. Why does it cost more to send to N.Ireland, Highlands, etc?

Due to the distances and costs involved with delivering to these locations, couriers charge more which unfortunately means we have to pass on those costs. Please note delivery to these areas may take longer than delivery to UK mainland. Express delivery is not available for these locations.

4. What should I do if my order has not arrived within 10 days?

If you have opted for standard delivery, your order should arrive within 10 days, 10 days for standard delivery is a guideline and although it is often much quicker with many parcels arriving the following day, please do not assume this will be the case. If you require your order the next day, we recommend selecting one of the express delivery options.

Returns

We hope the goods you order from us will arrive in good condition and be exactly what you ordered and you will be happy! However, we understand that sometimes you will need to return goods to us either because you have changed your mind about them, we processed your order incorrectly or the goods are faulty. The following FAQ will explain what to do in these situations.

1. My products are faulty, what should I do?

Simply return the items to us and we will put them to the test. If we find they are faulty, we will either send out replacement products or give a full refund. Please quote your order number with the returned product and inform us by email that the items have been sent. We recommend sending the items by Recorded Delivery or other method which provides proof of posting. If the items are not received by us and you have no proof of postage, we will not be able to offer any refund or dispatch replacement items. We will refund the cost to you for returning the goods.

In some cases we may simply ask you to email a photo of the faulty products to save you having to return them.

2. I've changed my mind about the products, what can I do?

If you change your mind about the items simply return them to us in perfect, un-opened, re-saleable condition within 14 days and we will refund the cost of the product(s) in full. Delivery charges are not refundable. Please note we cannot offer refunds on printed balloons or helium cylinders/tanks. Once artwork approval has been given for printed balloons we are unable to offer a refund should you cancel the order.

If you wish to cancel you order of items purchased via the website (i.e. not custom printed balloons), prior to dispatch, we will give a full refund. However, if your order has already been prepared for dispatch there may be a charge for the cost of packing and administration.

3. You've sent me the wrong items, what should I do?

Firstly, please accept our apologies! Please contact us and let us know which items have been sent out incorrectly. Once we have established what items have been mistakenly dispatched, return the items to us in perfect, un-opened, re-saleable condition and we will either send out the correct products or give a full refund. Please quote your order number with the returned product and inform us by email that the items have been sent. We recommend sending the items by Recorded Delivery or some other method that provides a proof of posting. If the items are not received by us and you have no proof of posting, we will not be able to offer any refund or dispatch replacement items. We will refund the cost to you for returning the goods.
